Cascade Lake - Taking Olive swimming

Tiffany found a great campground near DuPont called Cascade Lake. It has two lakes, one Small Lake, for swimming and then Cascade Lake for fishing, canoeing etc. We wanted to just get out-of-town for a day and go somewhere close by. The campground is around 30 minutes from our house. We had a brilliant time and laughed a lot and played cards.

Olive didn't like swimming very much, but we are taking baby steps. Olive even stole a stick from a little boy who was walking through our campsite. It was hilarious!

We got some rain in the morning, so we packed up and went home Sunday morning to relax at the house. What a great weekend.

House and Deck - Update

The deck is coming along nicely and the front yard has grown in. We have been getting rain every day now and the plants are growing like crazy. Hopefully by next week I'll be posting new pictures of our deck.

LR3 - New Dash

I thought that the dash on the LR3 was nice, but a little boring. I did some research and found a company that manufactures a dash kit to replace the big gray plastic pieces that wrap the center console, air vents, and shifter. If is just four pieces actually. The wood covers two air vents, the center console, and a brushed aluminum panel for the gear shifter. Installation took maybe 20 minutes. Anyway, here are the results, we went with Honey Burl.

Cancun - Family Vacation

Cancun was great! The people there are so great and appreciative of tourists. We had an amazing time. The resort was beautiful. We spent time just hanging out at the pool drinking Dirty Monkeys, Mohitos. Riviera Mayas, Dos Equis and lots of water. We went horse back riding, snorkeling, four-wheeling, scuba diving in the pool, Xcaret (eco park), Maya fire hockey (not really what it is called) and countless other fun things. You can see from the pictures the vacation wasn't too shabby. Most of all, we had family with us! I'll add more pictures when I get some of Mom's pics back...
