Heather and Rob came down on Saturday. Rob has family in Canton about 40 minutes away from Hendersonville. We had lunch downtown and gave them a quick tour of the house.We took them to the Carl Sandburg house to see the grounds and the goat farm. The baby goats are getting pretty big, but they are still a lot of them and they are a riot to play with.
After the goats, we hiked up Glassy Mountain which is right above the Sandburg house. We even discovered a random crypt up there will the names "Hall" on it. I think it read 1812.
That night we had dinner at the Purple Onion in Saluda and watched the Drover's Old Time Medicine Show. They played some great, original old time music which is pretty popular in the mountains and the piedmont here. We had a great time!
