Nick and I took Ben and Alex into Pisgah National Forest to do some hiking and camping. The parkway was still closed due to some major winter storm damage, but we made the best of it and head back down to the John Rock trail head.
We backpacked in about half way and set up camp. Then we hiked to the summit across from Looking Glass Rock, which you can see in the photos. We've been there quite a few times, but it is a comfortable place and beautiful.
Good times were had by all. Olive even did the whole hike off lease and I was so very proud of her. Alex and Ben made a great campsite.
