The light stuff - PBR gone skinny

So....our Pabst Blue Ribbon has gone skinny. And by skinny, I mean light. You all know our affection for Pibber, but recently on a PBR run to the store we discovered PBR Light. Replusion was the immediate reaction, but on second thought we decided to give it a try.

The photos illustrate our confusion. But at the end of the night, hanging out by the fire, we decided that PBR Light has a taste similar to regular PBR and it provides the same drinking enjoyment. So, upon this first study, Pabst Blue Ribbon gets our seal of approval. It does not replace the original. It is however, an acceptable alternative.

House - Fall 2008

We still plug away on the house on the weekends that we hang around town. Tiffany found another interior door at Habitat for Humanity this week. I cut the grass and built a gate to our neighbors property. Just as it was getting dark, I installed two of our our new copper exterior lights by the front door. They suit the house nicely...once again good job Tiffany.

Sleepy Sunday evening

We had a nice Sunday, but everyone was pretty tired by the end of it all. Olive is almost 16in tall now, but not quite big enough for her rover collar yet. The last picture is what we call an Olive Face Sandwich.

Our new gate - to Villa Montana

I built a gate this weekend between our property and our neighbors. There is a huge wall made of downed trees, branches, and stumps the seperates the properties. When we travel to and from our neighbors, it get to be a real pain walking all the way around the block or trying to navigate kudzu and posion ivy at 11pm holding on to a glass of wine.

Our neighbor Alice at Villa Montana and I, walked the fence and found a good spot to cut an opening. I chainsawed an opening and then built a gate with some of the branches and such. The first picture is the entire gate. The second is the latch and the third is the hinge. Looks good to me.

Black Mountain Campground

A few Rover friends got together this weekend for some camping in Black Mountain Campground at the base of Mt. Mitchell. Mike put together the weekend and Bill and his family showed up along with Tiff and I. The site was huge and perfect for three rambunctious dogs.

We had a great weekend just relaxing and doing a few little hikes. No four wheeling, but a lot of Rover talk.

Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, I lost my pictures of Bill playing the guitar, Olive and Tiffany by a three tier waterfall, and the dogs playing...tragically they where the best pictures too!

Hot Chicks!

Here is Tiffany's crew from high school. Three Knock Outs! The reunion was fun and well organized. I had fun meeting spouses, mostly because we all had something in common...we didn't know anyone. Good times, and martinis.
Tiffany was definitely the "hot girl from high sc
hool."
